Kayla Mulkey is the founder and lead editor of MyBreedPick. She built the site after her own experience navigating the overwhelming and inconsistent world of breed information online — and finding that no single resource helped her actually decide. Kayla leads MyBreedPick's editorial team in researching every breed profile from primary sources including the AKC, FCI, and breed parent clubs, with a focus on giving future and current pet owners the clear, honest information they need to make confident decisions. MyBreedPick does not provide veterinary or medical advice.

Every breed profile and decision guide on MyBreedPick is researched from primary sources, reviewed against our editorial standards, and signed by the editor responsible for it. We publish our methodology publicly because transparency is part of being useful.
